The original specimen featured 9 letterforms “obecná kniznica.” Each letterform is defined by its heavy weight and contrast, ball terminals, and pointed edges.

Both, consistency and consideration were needed in crafting the relationship between the negative and positive space of the elegant, heavy-weight typeface. The two available weights along with alternate characters and four styles are intended for use as display copy.



Neue Obec was featured in the Transcend: Across, Beyond, and Through Exhibition as well on ARO, an online fragrance atelier.
